Florence, Italy - Street Scenes and Shops

We had a little time after our lunch to walk through the streets of Florence and take in the sights

The narrow streets were lined with shops.  I was glad that this was a pedestrian safe zone.  Imagine trying to dodge traffic and look in all of the windows.
I saw this over and over: keep the interesting old parts and build new to butt right up against them.
Shoes for all of my shoe-loving friends and relatives.
Walking towards another gate to the old town.
Luggage for sale. Wonder if this man was toting a new bag?
Post cards, magazines, a quick stop.
Fancy kitchen stuff.
Pasta!
It was fun to walk through town and see "regular people who live here" types of things.
