I was able to visit with Frank’s Mom, Tonka, in Dresden. We met at a Canadian Steakhouse café that is near Frauenkirche (Church of our Mother). Tonka is working with her company in the Dresden area to train workers and create documentation. She is a delightful woman and I can see where Frank gets his personality and enthusiasm for life and work. I look forward to seeing her on one of her return visits to the USA. The restaurant was relatively close to the spot where the boat had docked (slip #17) and we had a nice walk before dinner on board. As we were returning, we saw a few of the staff members walking towards Dresden to enjoy the town, a favorite of theirs. This is how the fork and knife are brought to the table in a lot of cafes. I liked this!
