Tina's first full view of the Eiffel Tower! |
Children riding ponies and picnics on the grass. |
Full bed of flowers around the fountain. |
Beautiful flowers. The tulips were amazing. |
A nice curved flower bed. |
Creatively done with spring pastels. |
I had seen a photo of the Eiffel Tower with a flowering tree. These flowers are white. Hmmm, not the picture I was looking for. |
Yellows and pinks in the side gardens. |
We walked under the tower and looked across the river at the Trocadero. It was really crowded. |
This will give you an idea of the crowds out this afternoon. |
Yea! I found it. A pink tree and the Eiffel Tower. Mission accomplished. |

The flowers are just so beautiful. What fun it must be to stroll among them...
That Saturday afternoon is priceless, with the Eiffel Tower surrounded by love for almost a mile radius. Who would have thought that the giant steel tower will be Paris' enduring icon? And the places that lead there, what could be more beautiful than those?
Since our arrival, we kept seeing the Eiffel Tower from a distance and then, suddenly, it was right in front of me and it's so immense! The park is gorgeous (I wonder how many times "beautiful" and "gorgeous" and "amazing" will come out of my mouth?) and the flowers...pick a word from the previous list. I loved the Bird Lady and quietly sang "Feed the Birds" from Mary Poppins. It seemed appropriate.
