Musee de l'Orangerie

The Orangerie Museum has just been remodeled (opened in 2006 after six years of work) and houses Monet paintings created specially for the building. These are all paintings of the water lillies. The largest painting is 6.5 feet by 55 feet. WOW! The room is lit with natural sunlight, so it made taking photos easy (no flash please...we heard that about 50 times) We zipped through this museum and crossed the river to the Musee d'Orsay.
