Lees Ferry, Arizona - Glen Canyon National Recreation Area

Lees Ferry is the only place where people can drive to the Colorado River.  This is the departure spot for river trips and fishing trips.

Scattered around the parking lot are the big white wild flowers.
(added January 2016: Caution - this plant may be poisonous.  See this link: http://www.fireflyforest.com/flowers/964/datura-wrightii-sacred-thorn-apple/)

If you take one of the side roads, you arrive at Lonely Dell Ranch Historic Site.  This is a view of the orchards. There is much more here, including homesteading buildings
 Nearby rocks and hills.
Rafts and boats wait for adventurous travelers.

Nearby is the Lees Ferry launch ramp and several historic buildings.  The ferry operated from 1872 to 1928. (Source: http://www.nps.gov/glca/planyourvisit/lees-ferry.htm)

This article indicates that it may be poisonous, even to the touch. http://www.fireflyforest.com/flowers/964/datura-wrightii-sacred-thorn-apple/. I added this info to the content.
