Basel, Switzerland - Cathedral Interior

The interior of the Cathedral is bright due to the high windows that don't have stained glass.  The colored glass windows come mainly from the 19th century.

The heat came from the floor through the grate. It was nice to stand on or sit nearby.
Two of the four advent candles were lit. The third would be lit the next day at the Sunday service.
The two circular windows in the north and south transept are noteworthy.  They represent scenes of the baptism of Christ.

The organ pipes.
