366 Day Project - February 29 - March 6

The beginning of this week started at home and ended with a great trip to Death Valley National Park (DVNP), California.  Japanese Bento box. Used for to-go meals.  This is from last spring in northern Arizona.  The Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes at DVNP.  Walkway to the center of the valley at Badlands area. Salt flats. DVNP.  Photographers line up at Zabriskie Point DVNP.

The photography work continues this week with more golden hour photos, a delightful vegetable basket, and a little bit of abstract work. 

Scottsdale, Arizona - Singh Farms

The farmers market for today was Singh Farm on Thomas Road east of 101 in Scottsdale. I have only heard of this farm once when a chef friend mentioned that he buys his fresh vegetables daily from this farm.  Not knowing what to expect, we navigated through a crowded parking lot for a prime spot. One glimpse and I knew...this was going to be good!! A shady area in the middle of the desert.  Brilliant colors.  This is a large park like setting nestled in with vegetable fields.  Music filled the air.  There are comfortable tables and picnic areas throughout.  And a perfect backyard fire pit.  A store offers products. I could not pass up the lavender infused honey.  Beautiful breads  Sample pricing.  Heirloom tomatoes.  There was a long line for checkout so we went to the shorter pastry and coffee line to pay. The clerk couldn't weigh my heirloom tomato but was able to check out my honey...and our delicious snacks. We returned to the ch...
