Interior view of the museum. What a grand staircase!
Another statue at a building corner.
Little gift shops in the neighborhood.
Palais Archiepiscopal (Archbishop's Palace) has beautiful decor and the carved wood above the doorway is incredible.
The street sign said Place Des Martyrs de la Resistance (Plaza of the Martyrs of the Resistance) formerly known as Place de l'Archeveche.
Cafe tables spill in to the plaza in preparation of a lunch crowd. The name of the restaurant is Brasserie de l'Archeveche. One review that I read said that they are known for their friendliness any time of day. You can stop here for a drink, or to eat, and rest under the sycamore trees. It is simple, nice and quiet. We stopped here later for drinks and to use the toilette and I couldn't agree more.
Nice cobblestones on the plaza.
Enough resting in this shady spot. On to more touring!
