Wittenberg - Schlosskirche (Castle Church)

Martin Luther is buried in the Schlosskirche.  Walls show natural granite condition and stained glass windows remain. This has been called the most famous building in Wittenberg because this is where Luther nailed his 95 Theses to the doors. Martin Luther is buried here.
We can see the church in the distance.

Handy reading:

Very interesting architecture

You can see the details on the spire.

(1858) Commemorative bronze doors were mounted
where the original wooden ones had been located.
The 95 Thesis is on the doors in Latin.

This wooden door may be an example
of the look of the older original door.

Inside of the church after the renovation and restoration
(1883 - 1892)

New stained glass windows were installed in 1983.
