Our ride continues. I remember looking for "what is the same" and "what is different". I had expected to see more bike riders but maybe that impression comes from older photos of Beijing. The building patterns caught my eye. Sometimes there would be rows of the same pattern building. Other times, the buildings would be unique and stand out as a single structure. This was a Monday morning and traffic did not look very heavy at all. I asked Ben and he explained that the national holiday Labour Day was on April 29-May 1 (2013), so this week was a holiday week. Ah, that explains it.
