A coworker wants to practice photography skills for an upcoming trip so we went to Tempe Town Lake to capture some sunset shots.

Payson, Arizona - Ox Bow Saloon on Historic Main Street

The Ox Bow Saloon is on the National Register of Historical Places so I thought that I would drive down "historic Main Street" and photograph the saloon.  I was out very early so that I could photograph the buildings without a lot of traffic.  You can see from the long shadows that this was just after sunrise. This is the "Historical Journigan House" is now a fine food restaurant, a full bar, and an outside patio with a grill.  I took this photo so that I could remember to come here for dinner.  This is the nearby parking lot. If you look closely, you can see various horses painted on the wall.  The entrance to the street from Route 87 (the main highway that bisects the town).  This is my destination, The Ox Bow Hotel and Saloon.  Fun look to the western style front.  Special parking.

Prague, Czech - Street Scenes on Na Porici

After check in, I decided to take a photo walk on my street Na Porici to become familiar with the area.  This seems to be a good transportation street.  I've seen buses and a network of street cars.  I crossed the street to get a full length photo of my Art Deco Imperial Hotel with a view of Cafe Imperial on the bottom.  Notice the corner position of the cafe with views from the tall windows. The center opening is access to multiple interior stores.  The seating outside was for an ice cream and drinks small storefront.  A nearby shopping center.  This website has an interesting commentary:  http://www.myczechrepublic.com/prague/department-stores.html The Bílá labuť department store is a sad reminder of what shopping used to be like in Czechoslovakia of the 1970s and 1980s.
