We entered Kapitalplatz to view a piece of local artwork. Stephan Balkenhof (2007) created a large gold ball with a man in a relaxed position standing on top. Our guide said that his interpretation is that this man is looking for love and romance and is gazing in to the future to find his true love. The sculpture is titled "Sphaera".
I love the street musicians. This man is from South America and I bought one of his CDs.
We enter the "Toscaninhof" area and see dramatic block work and stairs. The Toscaninihof is a courtyard between the monastery of St. Peter and the Felsenreitschule / Festival Hall in old town.
The famous staircase takes visitors to Mönschsberg Hill.
"Woman in the Rock", a sculpture done by the same artist that did the man standing on the gold ball gazing IN THE OTHER DIRECTION! So, the moral of the story is (according to the guide), you can't find your sole mate if you are looking in the wrong direction.
I had to look this up online to get a better photograph of the woman.
It is getting close to lunch time, so we start to make our way to our lunch spot.
