Scottsdale, Arizona - Singh Farms

The farmers market for today was Singh Farm on Thomas Road east of 101 in Scottsdale. I have only heard of this farm once when a chef friend mentioned that he buys his fresh vegetables daily from this farm.

Not knowing what to expect, we navigated through a crowded parking lot for a prime spot. One glimpse and I knew...this was going to be good!!
A shady area in the middle of the desert.
Brilliant colors.
This is a large park like setting nestled in with vegetable fields.
Music filled the air.
There are comfortable tables and picnic areas throughout.
And a perfect backyard fire pit.
A store offers products. I could not pass up the lavender infused honey.
Beautiful breads
Sample pricing.
Heirloom tomatoes.
There was a long line for checkout so we went to the shorter pastry and coffee line to pay. The clerk couldn't weigh my heirloom tomato but was able to check out my honey...and our delicious snacks. We returned to the chairs surrounding the fire pit to chat.
I highly recommend this market.

Phoenix, Arizona - Corporate Farmers Markets

Is this a new trend? The corporate sustainability group has organized a lobby market. I was excited that it was going to be weekly. Looks like that decision will be made by interest. It is scheduled to be monthly. Again, this decision is up to the consumer.

366 Project - January 31 - February 7

This week I planned to shoot with my iPhone from low angles.

Grass in the backyard.

Arizona Center as the golden air.

After about 20 photos on the iPhone and selfie stick, I realized that the camera was backwards!

Arizona Center as the sun sets.

SkySong Market colorful carrots.

ASU/NAU bike parking.

Romanesca broccoli at SkySong Market.

Market baskets at Vincent's Market on Camelback.

This week was a focus on low angle iPhone photos. I have a selfie stick and it allowed me to get low angle shots.

Phoenix, Arizona - Vincent's Camelback Market

Beautiful morning to visit Vincent's Market on Camelback and 40th Street.

Metal work

I bought some very tasty balsamic vinegar.

Pretty French things. She told me that the market has been here for 20 years. It has certainly grown from the offering of veggies.

Music!

Come hungry. There are plenty of dishes to try.

Support the local businesses. Get out and enjoy the great weather.
