Tina wanted to visit this chapel because of her connections with a congregation in Chicago. It was a very interesting visit. The interior had beautiful tile work and was recently renovated (1980...recent considering renovations of other chapels.) The crowd was lined up to enter the grounds, many people bought medals and had them blessed by the nuns.
More information about the chapel can be found at this wikipedia link:

Ginan, for 1 euro I bought a miraculous medal for each of us. I felt that this was the type of item that we couldn't be without!
ReplyDeleteWow, can you imagine what we can make happen when we're wearing our miraculous medals! I can't wait to get mine! We must be very careful AND specific when using them!!
ReplyDeleteSo we're having lunch with two of Ladee's friends (yes, she actually knew people in Paris, for Pete's sake!) and they ask where we were going next and I say "to see the dead nun." I found that was a bit of a conversation stopper. Perhaps I could have worded it differently. But it did intrigue them enough to tag along. I'm really glad we went. The place was gorgeous ~ and we now have medals.
ReplyDeleteTina, thanks to you I now have a Miraculous Medal...something no woman should be without! I feel invincible!
