Berlin - Rainy Bus Tour and Ritz Carlton

Departing the pension and moving in to the Ritz Carlton...what a change!  It was a rainy day so the Hop On-Hop-Off (but stay on) was the choice to get an overall view of the city.  NATO was meeting at the hotel, so some of the streets were closed...resulting in a discount on the bus tour fair. All good!

Ritz Carlton - ahhhh

Dinner was at the Ritz Carlton but the photos are on my other camera. I'll need to make another post later.
Had a massage at the spa as a reward for the travel done so far and preparation for the travel to come.
The next morning was a buffet breakfast in the hotel's French Bistro (included in the price of the room, listed as 38 euro).   One thing that I noticed is that the coffee is very tasty.  It is not too strong nor too weak.
Salmon, Eggs Benedict, broiled tomato,
assortment of cheeses

Proscuitto, salmon, crepe with currants, broiled tomato

Raspberry, blackberry, ham, crepe, an orange thing
that had a thin plant skin on it.
And the mystery fruit with velcro hooks on the outside.
The waitress claims it tastes like lychee.
What?

The spikey thing was good, mild taste, squishy fruit,
little nut or seed in the center.

Cheeses and smoked fish

More fruit

  1. I could get in to that breakfast.

The room is quite a change from the previous. It's good to experience both!
